Why do a Body Scan?
A BODY COMPOSITION SCAN PROVIDES YOU WITH A MORE COMPLETE PICTURE OF YOUR OVERALL WELLNESS WHICH HELPS YOU ACHIEVE YOUR HEALTH AND FITNESS GOALS.
Body composition is an individual’s overall percentage of body fat, bone mass, total water and muscle mass. It is the body’s relative amount of total body fat compared to fat-free mass (...fat-free mass includes bone, water, muscle, and tissues).
Having an appropriate balance of lean muscle and body fat reduces the risk of various illnesses, such as cardiovascular disease, elevated cholesterol, high blood pressure, obesity and diabetes.
Being 'thin' does not mean you are healthy. It is far more important to focus on being lean (...the muscle, bone and fat composition within our bodies).
Body scanning is making it easier than ever for everyday people to embark on a more informed and ultimately, more successful, health and fitness journey.
